to open carry, or not to open carry...
By Greg Ellifritz Active Response Training 04/26/12

Those of us who live in states with the option may feel special, but who actually takes advantage of the privilege? And should they?
Some pros:Some cons:
Your gun is accessible to you Your gun is accessible to everyone
You drum up attention for 2nd Ammendment rights You draw attention yourself
You don't have to balance your fashion sense with concealing styles You lose the upper hand offered by the element of surprise
People might not mess with you People might call the cops on you

"Till Death parts us..."
For Egyptian men,
that might be too soon

By Alexandra Myers The Daily Caller 04/26/12

Just in case we American women forget how lucky we are, here's a quick reminder. So what if the guys at the range don't believe you can shoot? At least they don't disrespect us like this... And is it really the best way to say good bye?

Warning: This is sick!

Must Love Guns

As seen on USA Carry

Am I less feminine because I'm a gun-loving girl?
Of-corse not. (If anything, I find myself getting more girly the more I play with guns.) However, a few conversations I've had lately have caused me to examine how loving guns affects my projected self. Allow me to be clear: By no means am I fixated on others' opinions of me, but as a single woman in my early 30s, I believe it's understandable that I care (within reason) about my perceived femininity and sexuality.

Because of my interest in guns, people have been asking my opinion on the Florida shooting case. However, it has difficult for me to answer them because I am having trouble finding the facts of the case. Everything out there is full of opinions and deceptive journalism. We may never have all the information, but here is an article that has helped me understand the case a bit better.-AC

For Rashida's birthday, she and her friends came to shoot at Sandy Springs Gun Club and Range... I showed them the basics, they had the fun!

Growing as a Shooter (Part II)

By Gabby

Be sure to read Part I before proceeding.

So What did I do wrong?
-It took me forever to establish the first sight picture from low ready.
-I got frazled at hearing my competetors first shots go off, especially because I was yet to establish my first sight picture.
-After the first plate, I doubt I sighted at all.
- I emptied my magazine of all 10 rounds I'd loaded but only one made it on a plate.
- I was told, by the trainer running the shot clock, that most of my shots were high.

Is that a gun in your bra, or are you just happy to see me?

By Gabby

When I was a tween my mother took me for, what I can only assume is, a ritual right of passage for every New York City raised girl entering womanhood: My first bra fitting.  No, we didn't go to some well lit mall store where a twenty-something used a pink tape measure, in the privacy of a well lit, spacious fitting room. No.  In a four story brick building, (that was new in the 1920s) on the lower east side of manhattan, (or Brooklyn, was it?) we walked up a flight of stairs and enter a 150 square foot studio apartment.  It was crammed with the following: two or three square shaped Eastern European women (probably my mother's age but resembling a long ago generation), stacks of small boxes (imagine shoe boxes for ballet slippers) stretching from floor to ceiling, piles of lace, elastic straps and cups of varying sizes.  All of this was lit by just one exposed 60-watt bulb.
