Defined: Bullpup
A long gun built in this compact style is often offered as a solution for those who are moving within, or clearing, close quarter environments. (Often referred to as CQB or CQC, Close Quarter Battle or Combat.) This is done because a shorter rifle allows the user to enjoy the fire power of a larger gun, with the mobility something smaller. Both rifles and shotguns can be configured in the bullpup style, with the action and magazine set behind the trigger group. An example of such a gun is Israeli Weapons Industry's Tavor.
